Green New Deal

We can address both economic inequality and climate change while sending an inspiring vision for our future: there is hope.

Vision for America: Green New Deal

With the threat of civilization-distrupting climate change looming over the nation's and planet's future, the late months of 2018 have begun what has potential to be a significant moment for the political establishment to act on climate and begin a real and meaningful path towards sustainability.

Referenced from Franklin D. Roosvelt's plan to bring the country out of the Great Depression, the framework for a Green New Deal (GND) is being lead by US Congressional Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to establish a committee to sprearhead this initiative in Congress.

Resilience: Could a Green New Deal Save Civilization? The Green New Deal’s Sudden Popularity Is A Reason For Climate Change Optimism - The Green New Deal is a unifying political message that gets back to the basics of creating an economy that works for all people and protects the planet as a result.

Gov. Whitman: I'm glad to see Republicans recognizing climate change. Now they must do something - "Republicans can stand for a clean environment and market principles. But we can't stand on the sidelines. We must enter this debate with our own ideas, and push for policies that cut the pollution intensifying havoc across our country and world. And token cuts are not enough, we must reduce emissions and move toward clean energy as fast as the science of climate change demands."

A 21st Century Vision for America is a document that describes our country as most Americans would want it to be. It envisions an America that cares about people, protects our rights, provides opportunity for all, nurtures its lands and waterways, and serves as a good global citizen. This America serves as a beacon and model to the rest of the world, reminding everyone of what is possible when people of good will come together to do what is right.
